Two Christmas Stories: Old Glam and Vintage Warmth

This Christmas season, we explored how colour, texture, and intention can completely shift the mood of a space. Using two shades from Benjamin Moore’s 2026 Colour Trends palette, we created two distinct holiday setups — each with its own personality, but both rooted in warmth and character.
Old Glam — Silhouette AF-655
Our Old Glam setup was anchored in Silhouette AF-655, Benjamin Moore’s 2026 Colour of the Year. This deep, espresso-charcoal tone set the stage for a more dramatic, elevated holiday look.
We paired it with a white artificial Christmas tree, soft pink accents, glass candleholders, greenery, and reflective details that catch the light beautifully. Pink nutcracker added a sense of tradition with a twist, while the contrast between dark walls and luminous décor created a space that felt festive, polished, and unapologetically glamorous.
It was a look designed for evenings, candlelight, and a little sparkle.
Vintage — Southwest Pottery 048
For our Vintage setup, we leaned into warmth and nostalgia using Southwest Pottery 048 — a rich, earthy tone inspired by the brown and red hues of kiln-fired clay.
This space featured a real, living Christmas tree, softly aged décor, and a more relaxed, collected feel. Nutcracker appeared here too, but alongside colourful liqueur chocolates, vintage gold mirror, warm metallics, and pieces that feel familiar and welcoming. The result was cozy, layered, and full of personality — the kind of setting that invites people to stay awhile.
This setup was about comfort, memory, and the quiet joy of tradition.
One Palette, Two Moods
What we loved most about working with these colours is how adaptable they are. Silhouette brings depth and structure, while Southwest Pottery offers warmth and grounding — each supporting a completely different expression of the season.
These Christmas setups reminded us that colour isn’t about trends. It’s about mood, material, and how a space makes you feel when you walk into it.
And during the holidays, that feeling matters most.
